Tamar Braxton Launches Clothing Line and E-Commerce Site

Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Tamar Braxton launches her first line of apparel that retails exclusively online at TamarCollection.com. Braxton, a self professed fashion shopaholic, developed the brand and shopping experience to address various concerns that she has personally found challenging over the years. As a result, the brand features superior quality, runway-inspired fashion that is available in extended and unisex sizes, all at affordable prices.

“Anyone who knows me knows I’m all about looking fabulous without breaking the bank. So when designing this collection, it was important that the line had a wide variety of looks. A little everyday fashion, but also some runway looks at incredible prices. It is important to me that all of my fans feel like there is something for them,” says Braxton.

Braxton has had an extensive career in the industry which includes executive producing two hit reality shows on WE TV, releasing hit singles like ‘Let Me Know’ from her upcoming album due in early 2015 and most recently co-hosting daytime talk show, The Real. Braxton has now taken on her latest venture with the support of her husband, Vincent Herbert. “He has played a major role in launching my fashion line along with my son, Logan, who inspires me every day,” says Braxton.

Braxton continues to build upon her momentum with her new fashion business and is excited to have another opportunity to engage and interact directly with women across the globe by dressing them in quality, affordable fashions. This technology enables shoppers to check the fit of any garment on a virtual avatar after entering his/her precise body shape and size. Tamar Braxton, K. Michelle And Wale Among Performers For Soul Train Awards 2013

Jennifer Hudson , Tamar Braxton , Smokey Robinson , K. Michelle, Ron Isley , Wale, Eric Benet , Candice Glover , Kem, Chrisette Michele, Bobby Caldwell and Joss Stone will be hitting the stage as performers for SOUL TRAIN AWARDS 2013. This year’s show pays homage to the soul soundtrack of the 90’s, allowing fans to reminisce on a decade of influential black cinema and music. Charged with keeping the party going throughout the night are Grammy Award winning producers 1500 or Nothin’ and legendary keyboardist Greg Phillinganes who have both been tapped as music directors for the show. As previously announced, comedian and actor Anthony Anderson will host the event in Las Vegas on November 8th, which will air on CENTRIC and BET, December 1, 2013 at 8PM ET/PT.

For the first time, SOUL TRAIN AWARDS 2013 will be held at the Orleans Arena, one of the nation’s leading mid-size arenas. Also marking a first for the award show is the addition of a second stage, which will feature a rotating mix of celebrity DJs. Hip-hop sensation Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s nominations with six nominations across multiple categories, including: Best New Artist, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Talent And Nominees Are Announced For BET Awards ’13

Nominees were recently announced at the official BET Awards ’13 press conference in Los Angeles, by BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials, Stephen G. Hill ; this year’s BET Awards ’13 host, blockbuster movie star and comedian Chris Tucker ; R&B artist Chris Brown ; hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar; and singer and television personality Tamar Braxton .

Leading the pack of A-list nominees include, hip hop artist Drake, with an impressive 12 nominations including Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Video of the Year; close behind is breakthrough hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar and rapper 2 Chainz tied with 8 nominations; A$AP Rocky with 5 nominations; while Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Miguel face off with 4 nominations each in the categories of Best Collaboration, Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award and Video of the Year.

In what is sure to be a showdown of epic proportions, this year’s Video of the Year Award has a phenomenal line-up of 10 nominees including Kanye West , Justin Timberlake , Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Miguel and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis , all vying to get their hands on the sought-after trophy.

During the press conference, Chris Brown was exclusively announced as the first confirmed performer. As an added bonus, R. Kelly is closing the BET Awards ’13 and will head over to the Staples Center immediately after to open the BET Experience concert. In addition, a living legend, Charlie Wilson was announced as the recipient of the prestigious Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award, to honor his four decades in the entertainment industry.
